Abstract: Young researchers are brilliant at what they do best: pushing the boundaries of knowledge with technical excellence and groundbreaking innovation. And that’s exactly how it should be! But here’s the catch: a successful research career isn’t just about the best experiments or the most cited papers. It’s also about navigating the human side of science. How do you choose the right career path in an ever-changing academic and industrial landscape? How do you convince stakeholders that your ideas are worth pursuing? And, perhaps most importantly, how do you keep your passion for research alive without burning out? In this talk, we’ll explore the often-overlooked skills that make the difference between simply surviving in research and truly thriving. Because a career isn’t a sprint, but a long and unpredictable adventure. And like any great adventure, you need more than just one superpower to make it to the end.
