Award Information
Established in 2018, this award recognizes exceptional and distinguished service to the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society.
The SSCS Award Committee or its appointed sub-committee shall evaluate nominations as to whether the contribution is significant and merits consideration for the award. The award will be given during the IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) in the year following selection by the Awards Committee.
Those who receive this award must be a current SSCS Member in good standing. Past Society Presidents cannot be nominated until four years have passed from the end of their term as President.

Awards are governed by the TAB Awards and Recongition Manual, and the IEEE Policies. These include, but are not limited to:
1. Individuals serving on any board or committee involved at any stage of the recipient selection or approval process for an award shall be ineligible to receive, or act as a nominator or reference for, that award. A list of SSCS Awards Committee members can be found at the top of this page. Jeremy Cosson-Martin Receives 2025 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Distinguished Service Award
The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) awarded its 2025 Distinguished Service Award to Jeremy Cosson-Martin in recognition of his creation of a thriving hardware outreach program that brought Arduino-inspired projects to high school and undergraduate students worldwide. His efforts in producing engaging tutorial videos, devising innovative contest themes, organizing competition judging, and growing a vibrant community exemplify exceptional service and commitment to the Society’s mission. The award was presented at the 2026 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) in San Francisco, California, USA.
About Jeremy Cosson-Martin: Jeremy Cosson-Martin earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2023, specializing in advanced high-speed wireline modulation schemes. Currently, he is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at AMD, where he develops next-generation high-speed wireline transceivers. He also serves on the SSCS Education Committee and is the Program Chair of the IEEE SSCS Arduino Contest, a global competition that inspires students from all backgrounds to discover the excitement of electronics.
