The SSCD committee is actively working to support grassroots SSCS-oriented projects that bring positive changes to local communities. Recently, the committee joined forces with IEEE Engineering Projects in Community Services (EPICS in IEEE) to support student-driven projects globally, focusing on making a meaningful impact in their local. Notably, this marks one of the first collaboration between EPICS in IEEE and an IEEE Society.
In our first year, we are supporting projects such as water conversation during rice cultivation in Thailand and water desalination in Kerala, India.
