Special Section on Power Management Integrated Circuits
Aim and Scope
Power management is a critical and rapidly evolving field supporting a broad range of applications, from computing and automotive to communications, biomedical, industrial, and consumer electronics. These diverse applications require power management solutions spanning a wide spectrum of voltage, current, and power levels—from sub-1V rails for CPUs to high-voltage, isolated supplies for automotive and industrial systems. Key challenges include achieving higher efficiency, higher power density, fast transient response, robust operation under EMI, and lower system cost, all while supporting dynamic loads, harsh environments, and new energy sources.
This Special Issue aims to showcase the latest innovations in power management integrated circuits (PMICs), including but not limited to: power delivery and control circuits, switched-mode power converter ICs (inductive, capacitive, piezoelectric, and hybrid), linear regulators, power delivery for heterogeneous and 3D-integrated systems, gate drivers, wide-bandgap (GaN/SiC) designs, isolated and wireless power converters, envelope supply modulators, energy harvesting, and power management for automotive, robotics, LED drivers, and LiDAR applications.
