- Abstract: Post-quantum crypto standards are coming: it doesn’t matter if you believe in quantum computers or not. What is this exciting new area in cryptography? What is the impact on the billions of embedded devices as used in automotive or IoT? Using some typical embedded use-cases we outline the challenges and show some recent solutions in this area.
Bio: Joppe Bos is a Senior Principal Cryptographic Researcher at NXP in Leuven, Belgium where he has been working for 8 years and has authored over 20 patents and 50 academic papers. Previously, he was a post-doctoral researcher in the Cryptography Research Group at Microsoft Research, Redmond, USA and he obtained his PhD in the laboratory for cryptologic algorithms at EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland. Joppe Bos is the technical lead of the Post-Quantum Cryptography team at NXP Semiconductors and manager of the Crypto Concepts team. He is co-author of the post-quantum secure scheme CRYSTALS-Kyber selected by NIST for standardization, serves as the Secretary for the IACR and is co-editor of the IACR Cryptology ePrint Archive.
